In 2001, after fifty years of industry service and recognition as a “worktruck” stronghold in central New England, Stetco was acquired by Iowa Mold Tooling (IMT), a world class manufacturer of cranes, service bodies and other truck mounted equipment.   Changes beneficial to Stetco products were implemented in engineering and manufacturing.  In 2006, Stedt’s parent company IMT was purchased by Oshkosh Corporation, a leading manufacturer of specialty trucks for commercial, fire and emergency, and military applications. Because Oshkosh follows a strategy of acquiring only market leaders, our brand equity, industry reputation, and leadership position made Stedt and IMT a natural choice for this well-respected company.
